Turkey Run is one of our favorite places to canoe because of the ease of access. With several canoe and kayak rental companies in the area, all you need to do is hop in and slowly float down the river. A crew drop you off, pick you up, and take care of all of your gear!

After a long day of hiking or floating, relaxing with some privacy at your own cabin is the perfect way to round out your getaway. From large groups of friends to small families, there are enough Turkey Run cabin rentals to choose from that you will find just what you’re looking for.
TURKEY RUN INN AND CABINS

One of our favorite options, and what we most often choose when we go to Turkey Run, the Turkey Run Inn Cabins really do have it all.

These are the only cabins in Turkey Run State Park, so you can roll out of bed and be on the trail in less than a minute.

There’s no need to l load up in the car! Access to all of the trails is just steps from the cabins at Turkey Run State Park Inn.
With an indoor and outdoor pool, gameroom, restaurant, firepit with outdoor seating, and multiple playgrounds on site, there really isn’t much more a family could ask for. There aren’t a lot of hotels near Turkey Run State Park, so if a hotel is more what you are looking for, this is the place to be!
Right next to the main inn are the Turkey Run State Park cabins. These are labeled as family cabins, and are a good option. They are similar to hotel rooms in a wooded setting with four “cabins” to a building. You won’t find a kitchen or separate bedrooms, but you can rent both sides out and open the door in between.
For the traditional cabin feel at the Turkey Run State Park Hotel, book the Turkey Run Overlook Cabin. It can get booked out quite a bit in advance, so try to plan ahead. The Overlook Cabin has a kitchenette and separate bedroom, as well as a huge deck with gorgeous views.
For proximity, our #1 pick for Turkey Run cabin rentals are the cabins at Turkey Run Inn simply because they’re actually in Turkey Run State Park.
CABINS NEAR TURKEY RUN STATE PARK
If the inn is booked, or you are just wondering where to stay near turkey run state park that is a bit more secluded, there are some fantastic options for Turkey Run Indiana cabins very near to the state park.
Amish Barn Home

It is so close to the top of the list that I’m almost going to call this cabin a tie for our top pick of places to stay near Turkey Run State Park.
Just across the road from Turkey Run Campground, this 3 bed, 3 bath luxury barn home is about as close as you can get get for cabin rentals near Turkey Run State Park, without staying at the Inn. Not to mention, it’s very spacious, modern, and has all of the amenities you could ask Overlook Cabin may be our favorite because of it’s location, but this cabin is a VERY close second.

Eagle Rise Cabin

This 3 bed, 2 bath cabin gives you a rustic feel from the outside, but the incredibly beautiful and modern kitchen will blow you away.


Our favorite part though- the huge deck with a hot tub overlooking Sugar Creek.

Just a 5 minute drive from Turkey Run and 3 miles from Shades State Park, Eagle Rise Cabin is one of our favorite cabins around Turkey Run State Park with plenty of exploring, hiking, or river activities in the area or you can just relax and enjoy nature from the hot tub or deck. For family getaways this is our favorite cabin near Turkey Run State Park.

Guesthouses at Wilkins Mill
Just 5 minutes from Turkey Run, the Wilkins Mill guest houses are another great option for cabins by Turkey Run State Park, especially for those that love covered bridges, as this 40 acre property sits adjacent to the Wilkins Mill covered bridge. With 3 guest house options, ranging from studio to 2 bedroom, there are plenty of options for couples and families, or rent the whole place for large groups.

The Cabins at Hobson Farms
Hobson Farms cabins offer several options for private cabins in a rustic and secluded setting all within walking distance of the Turkey Run hiking trails. With cozy porches, fire pits for relaxing evenings outside, and friendly animals roaming around the property, Hobson Farms is a convenient option for Turkey Run cabin rentals.

Sugar Creek Retreat

A bit further up near Shades State Park, these sugar creek cabins are just a 5 min drive from Turkey Run State Park, and our favorite choice for larger family gatherings. With both a log cabin and farmhouse cottage on the property, combined they offer 5 bedrooms and sleep up to 18. Sugar Creek cabin rentals are the perfect choice for an outdoor secluded family getaway, especially for those of us who love log cabins.


The fully equipped modern kitchen, grills, screened in porch, nature path, and outdoor pavilion are just a few of the amenities that you’ll love at this fantastic little escape. They even offer wellness retreats.

Gobbler’s Knob Cabins
Gobbler’s Knob Cabins are some of the closest cabins to Turkey Run State Park, so that’s a win in our book. These adorable modern yet rustic tiny homes are perfect for couples with their lofted bedrooms, a kitchenette, and outdoor grill and seating. However, they’re also located right on the road at a main intersection, so if you’re looking for something surrounded by nature, these may not be your top choice in Turkey Run cabin rentals.

Serene Cabin

Located just a short drive from Turkey Run State Park, this cabin in the woods overlooks a beautiful ravine and offers plenty of privacy for your group.

Cozy Cabin

Just steps from the trails at Shades State Park, this cabin sits on 15 acres of private property with a beautiful vaulted ceiling screened in porch on one side and open porch with a swing on the other.


The kitchen opens up into the living space with a cozy wood burning stove for warming up after a day of exploring during the winter months.
