When you’re looking for the best sit and stand stroller, there are lots of options to consider, from double stroller sit and stand options to a stroller stand attachment. Some of the sit n stand strollers can even convert to a triple stroller with sit and stand options to accommodate three children.
Once you really break it down, there are a few different types of sit stand strollers, and each has its pros and cons. Check out our top picks including sit and stand stroller reviews for all of the best on the market.
After extensively researching the best sit & stand stroller, we based our decision on:
Ease of Use: Opened size, weight, maneuverability, and folded size
and
Comfort: How comfortable will the children be in the given riding positions, and how comfortable will mom and dad be pushing it.
OUR PICKS FOR THE BEST SIT AND STAND STROLLER
BEST TRADITIONAL & BUDGET FRIENDLY:
Joovy Caboose Too
The Joovy Caboose Too is the best traditional sit to stand double stroller on the market. We love it’s relatively compact size, and especially the price! The Joovy Caboose Too is essentially just the Caboose, but includes the removable second seat.

COMPARISON OF BEST SIT AND STAND DOUBLE STROLLER MODELS
Types of Sit and Stand Strollers
Convertible Stroller:
A convertible stroller is just what it sounds like. It can change from a single to a double, and many(all of the ones we considered) have a sit to stand stroller option.
Pros
as close as you will get to an all-in-one
tons of riding options
relatively compact
easier to maneuver and fold
Cons
more expensive
each add-on is an additional charge
configurations can be tight
EXAMPLES:
Baby Jogger City Select Lux
Uppababy Vista
Austlen Entourage
Double Stroller with Sit and Stand:
A double sit and stand stroller is like a traditional double stroller, offering two child seats, but one can be converted to a sit and stand seat. For most double sit and stand strollers, they are the same as the single sit and stand version, but the additional seat is included in the package deal.
Pros
two traditional seats
converts to bench/stand seat
comfortable for children
Cons
larger footprint(open and folded)
harder to maneuver
EXAMPLES:
Joovy Caboose Too
Baby Trend Sit N Stand Double Stroller
Graco Ready2Grow
Single Stand and Sit Stroller:
These can only be used as a sit and stand stroller with just a bench seat for the older child. Almost all of these sit and stand strollers can be made into a double stroller by purchasing an additional seat(see the double stroller description).
Pros
most affordable
can be smaller than the double options
Cons
older child must stand or use bench
more compact options can be less comfortable
EXAMPLES:
Baby Trend Sit N Stand Stroller
Joovy Caboose
Chicco BravoFor2/LE
SIT AND STAND STROLLER REVIEWS
Baby Jogger City Select Lux
We just fell in love with Baby Jogger City Select LUX. Why the LUX instead of the regular City Select? Well, the regular City Select doesn’t offer a bench seat or the ability to create a stand on stroller. Plus, the LUX folds up 30% smaller!! That was one of the biggest selling points for us. Not only is it small in size, but it also handles well in somewhat rough terrain, and gives us SO MANY riding options. No stroller will give you everything you’re looking for, but this one comes close. Get it from the start, and just add as your family grows. It is quite a bit more expensive than the traditional sit and stand strollers, but we think that the overall value is the best.
Bonus: Did you know that Baby Jogger strollers have one of the best resale values on the market?!
Pros
Versatility: TONS of seating options
Compact: Open and folded, it’s one of the most compact available.
Maneuverability: The compact size, and the suspension make it pretty easy to get around.
Cons
Price: It’s expensive, but we think it’s worth it!
Accessories are required to change seating options
Space: It’s a bit tight with 2 in regular seats.
Babyzen Yoyo+ with Glider Board
If you love to travel like we do, then you should definitely look into this super compact stroller. Not only does it fold up tiny enough to bring as a carry-on, but you can also add a glider board with a seat onto the back. The price point on this compact sit and stand stroller is pretty high, but we think it’s worth the investment for a frequent flying family. It’s easy to maneuver and ultra lightweight. However, if you don’t plan to do much air travel, this may not be the best option for you. It is a single stroller with a sit and stand board add on. The toddler stand for the stroller is similar to a bicycle seat, so it really only works for a bigger child.
Pros
Lightweight
Compact: Folds up TINY
Cons
Price: it’s expensive, but frequent fliers LOVE it!
The toddler seat is not for relaxing or naping
JOOVY CABOOSE TOO
First, the Joovy Caboose and the Joovy Caboose Too are THE SAME STROLLER. There’s a lot of confusion, but the only difference is that the Caboose Too comes with the detachable rear child seat. The Joovy Caboose only has the sit and stand option, but you can always purchase the additional seat later if you decide it’s necessary. We picked the Joovy Caboose Too as a top sit n stand stroller because we like having the option of the second seat included. However, if you truly just want the best sit n stand stroller, the regular Joovy Caboose will work just fine. Curious about the Joovy Caboose S?? It’s the premium version with a few more bells and whistles- but also a much higher price tag.
Pros
Price
Relatively compact
More seating options than most
Cons
Larger than the convertible options
Tight seating for the older child when front child reclines
OVERALL
There are quite a few good options out there for lightweight sit and stand strollers, so depending on your lifestyle and budget, one of these should work out great for your family.
